Lamar Lakay is absolutely amazing. Fast service, clean place and excellent environment. Outstanding customer service. They serve with a smile and are very people friendly. The food is amazing, great portion for your money, worth every penny. My husband and daughters eat there all the time. They make the best Legumes, Lalo and Akra in town. I recommend them truly. Go order your food there and thank me later. Rose

Food was really delicious! Nice space with friendly staff. If the prices seem rather high, it's only because they follow the Haitian convention of one menu item feeding 2 people. If you're a discerning vegetarian, you should definitely do your due diligence, because the vegetable dishes contain quite a lot of meat that isn't mentioned on the menu -- I would be a huge fan of them introducing one or more cheaper, explicitly vegetarian options.

I was visiting family, got hungry and stopped by this Haitian restaurant and was so happy I did. I ordered the pate kode. It was so flavorful and very fulfilling. It had chicken, a whole eggs, piklez, peppers, onions and other creole seasonings. Next time I will definitely try the legume.

Cool little Haitian spot! Small and local. Home cooked food. Market right next door. Bringing more diversity in cuisine to the area! Go ahead and expand your pallette and give it a shot!
